Alan Baker B.Sc. was one of the few motor cycling journalists with a sound technical background - his obituary shows why.
Alan Baker wrote the technical article on the post war Twin engine for Vincent motor cycles, published in the "Modern Engines" series in 'The Motor Cycle' 13 August 1953, where he interviewed P C Vincent, the Managing Director of Vincent Engineers, Stevenage.
That article has been a source of technical information for Vincent owners, right up to the present day.
