This is the Trouble nowadays, We are not dealing with Riders !,
If you offer something at a Fair price , A money maker will jump in,
But hard to tell them apart from Proper people,
Makes it hard to keep these things on the road,
And for New owners to get started.
Just my thoughts.
Cheers Bill.
Very true Bill, the gougers are among us! I have always done a lot better by swapping parts with other owners.

People can't see, We are cutting our own throats,
But that is how it is now,
I sold my house some years back, While it was going through ,
I was told by the young E/ Agent, He thought he could get more !,
I said I have already shaken hands on the deal, So that is how it will be .
He said we don't do that now !!, I said well I do !.
Cheers Bill.

Earlier on another thread I had asked about rods with holes drilled in them, so here are a couple of pictures. This crank has a new Alpha big end purchased from Conways in June of 1960. Don't know when or by whom it was assembled. I am inclined not to trust it but would welcome any thoughts!

Robert,

I wonder if the holes are to evenly balance the weight of the Rods? Once the crank is apart you will probably weigh them, I will be interested to know if they are the same weight.
