Hello Everyone,
Has anyone fitted the TP 600cc top ends to there Vincents?
I have 3 engines to overhaul for a mate. One engine which has 2 front heads fitted and was overhauled in the early 70's and the other 2 are std engines.
We are hoping to fit the 600cc cylinder/head kits to 2 engines with new cranks.
Also Terry doesn't have 5 speed boxes for sale. He suggested the Surtees 5 speed. Is that the quaife/surtess box?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you
Regards

You can email Terry, but he is away at Bonneville for the next month or so. If you do not have his 600 kit in hand, I think that they may not be available any longer. You are correct about the 5 speeds. They are available from Quaiffe and that is the Surteees designed box.

He hasn't left yet, I spoke to him yesterday and he leaves on wednesday, so you might catch him before he goes :)

I have contacted Terry and he only has 600cc kits left till next year.
I'm in no hurry. I have a spare set of cases that I want to soda blast first. Those cases are to go into the Norton frame that was modified in the 70's to accept the twin engine.I think that the 2 front head engine must have been ear marked for that frame as there is 2 remote fuel bowls mounted to the frame.
It's up to my mate really. His projects and his money.
I'd like to get one of Terry's frame's and get one going that way first. I haven't seen the Rapide frames only the engines.
Cheers
