Dear All,
I'm rebuilding a Vincent engine that has had a very neat repair carried out on the holes for the breather valve spindle. I inserted new spindles and closed up the bottom end and commenced fitting up the timing chest. Getting to inserting the breather valve and I have found that the spindle is to close to the front cam. a -10 HTP will go in but its still notchy. Before I go contacting Maughns or the spares club for such an item, does anyone have an under size/out of spec -10 Half Time Pinion? I guessing it needs to be a -12. Another option that I am also about to explore is trying cam wheels for an under size one.

Phelps.

Phelpsy, can you measure diametrically across including two 1/8" drill shanks please? Answers only in Imperial. I will see what I can find. See you at the meeting.Maybe also do the same for a cam pinion. Cheers.
