Keith must have had a wonderful radio!

Greg mentioned that Dunscombe is using a Lightning engine.

Thanks Greg,

Thanks David, The small white car must have gone like a rocket, although I'm not sure how the engines kept cool.......... The Lightning powered "Flying Bedstead" was powered for some time by the engine out of Bluey Henderson's original Lightning.

I will stand corrected nothing to do with Reg Hunt
It came from Maitland NSW
It sits on 2 x 44 gallon Drums in a poor state ,

The brother-in-law of a friend of mine here in South Australia (both now deceased) bought Reg Hunt's car & owned it for a period of time, Reg Hunt bought the car back from him. I spokes to Reg Hunt's son some years ago, they were rebuilding the vehicle at the the time, he mentioned that a Rapide engine had been rebuilt to install in the car as the original motor (1C/1803 I think) was gone. After harvest time on the farm the brother-in-law was prone to using the barley cheque for impulse purchases, an XK Jaguar (120 or 140) was one, a Mercedes too which was in a shed for a number of years. He went to the BSA factory, purchased a new 500 twin outfit & rode it back to Australia. Had a few other bikes including a B Rapide which he bought new

It's been the story for quite some time that 1C/1803 was in a car in Adelaide, now post #37 above says the engine is no longer in the car. Anyone know where it is?
