Incidentally tucked away in a corner of the dealer news is the snippet that the Italian Sports regularity body the FMI (yes that is the right order) has issued a ban for all their licensed riders from racing in the TT and other real road racing world wide.so we wont see anyone from italy at the TT or the Classic Manx
Can you belive it? when a ride on any italian main road is far more dangerous than a lap of the island heck do they think the Moto GP computer pilots can fill the gap ? I would almost rather watch football (No thinking about that.. I must be joking).

Erik,

I cannot say for certain, but if you remember that this is a high pressure lubrication engine, those hoses are probably the feeds that are needed to distribute the oil. The oil system is different enough that the UFM is not interchangeable with a stock UFM. Instead, it is designed to work with the high pressure oil system.

There is no oil pump in the oil pump housing. Patrick uses the housing like a plumbing manifold or a distribution chamber. The Godet oil pump is run off the big idler in the timing chest.

Bruce,

Yes, it is similar to that in location. In Patrick's the oil pump gear is exposed like the other gears in the timing chest, but it is turning an oil pump that is mounted underneath.
