the message has appeared while the second upload page is loading (i don't get a rotating sysmbol on the first page only a progess bar) but the message goes and I'm left with a blank page.Maybe my state of the art computer is a load of :-(insert your own ideas)

Photo uploads ARE working correctly. I just tried a test.
As someone just pointed out - if you're on broadband, your upload speed (the speed you use when you upload photos to the forum) will be a fraction of your download speed (the speed you use to download web pages from the internet).
If you have a slow upload speed, I would suggest you only try uploading a couple of images at at time.

you are most likely right.but how the dickens do i put it right.My browser is the same one i used when i uploaded videos. the 800kb pic didn't make it to the processing screen.I'm off to bed and I'll think about it tomorrow.Maybe the Gremlins will have emigrated by then.

Well!!!
I tried clearing the cache.I downloaded Firefox.I ran a repair on the hard drive.I tried uploading 1 photo,and 2 members have loaded photos with no trouble at all.So it can't be the website.
Any more suggestions gladly accepted(polite please) as my proctologist is already over worked due to my bosses.
I'm still getting the processing message and then a blank screen after selecting my photos.It would be a shame if i can't upload anymore.

I downloaded Firefox.the browser is ok.I can go to the first upload screen and select the file that I want.hit the upload button at the bottom,the next screen has the upload file message at the top and then i get a blank screen and it looks as though i am no longer in the forum as the back button gives me a page expired message.I'm on tiscali, 8Mb connection,XP media edition.It must be my computer as the videos I uploaded of the Ramsey sprint went ok.I have no problems with anything else to do with the forum.John

How long are you waiting when you get your white screen.
Just as an experiment, just try one photo, click on upload, then go away and make a cup of tea, have a beer or mow the grass.
Come back half an hour later and see if anything has happened.
I'm wondering if there's a problem with the upload speed of your internet connection. Whilst you say you have an 8mb download speed, your upload speed is probably somewhere between 256 and 512k - probably somewhere in the 350k range. So while you may be able to download files nice and quickly, with Tiscali ADSL your 'upload' speed will be pathetically slow.
