Numberplate etc

I am getting around to replacing the incorrect number plate on my 37 comet:

I'm going with the 35E lamp from the Rudge site as it seems from lots of previous posts that 35E is most likely to be the correct one and the quality of their replica is good.
However, does anyone know if the number plate that is also on the same Rudge site http://www.rudge.parts/number-plate.html is the correct one? There are two that look identical to each other on the page, 76514 and M4668X3 but the price is £25 as opposed to £106 from VOC spares. They look like the Series A one to me but I'm not sure and also not sure why there are two different ones that look the same.

I'm also looking for the correct tyre inflator - I think it's 16" long (so longer than for a C Comet) and may be Bluemels, together with a pair of pillion footrest hangers. This is a picture of the ones on a Meteor that a forum member sent me. I don't know for sure if they are correct.

Any help appreciated.

Conway's wanted to fit Lycett (!?) ones but I have the same as yours which are now temporarily removed as have B / C / D ones on B/C foot rest plates saving wife's feet from going up and down with RFM.
Originality is great, but riding in comfort is better for her in doors, unless one rides solo, so why have them at all.

Hi Clay,

The rear light 35E from rudge spares is the correct one for your bike I believe. As for rear number plate look on eBay at vintage rear number plates. They are being made in India and they look about right as I'm sure they were a generic plate, I don't think the rudge ones are correct.
I think the pump should be 15.5 inches long but someone else can confirm. The rear footrests I think should be as attached but there may have being different types. I hope this helps

I bought some ex WD pumps (tyre inflators) years ago. All metal and correct fit for both my New Imperial and Series A. The stirrup was still fitted to. I think about £5 each. Footrest rubbers should be John Bull No. 5 round ones. Good luck.

I believe this is the original rear plate which I found in my box of bits, was not sure but after seeing Marks repo and the tell tale holes for the Miller light, I believe it to be correct. Needs a bit of work, looks like someone has put a more modern Lucas rear light on at some stage best of luck, Andy.

Yes, that's the proper rear plate. It looks very useable, with a bit of work.
