There must be a Vincent owner or two near Frome after all we have a rally near there in a few months time can't someone help him?
It sounds like a simple job if it has fired up once a few checks new petrol new plug you know the drill.
If it was nearer I would go

I was given the bike off my late father Gordon Hemms a couple of years before his passing and it was not maintained as it should have been as the bike was getting too much for him and he could not it ride later on in his life "too heavy and difficult to start" and had taken to riding much lighter bike a 1958 T110 to which he rode like the devil and was hard work to stay with him while following him on the Vincent mind you he always rode his all bikes hard and fast.

Unfortunately some of these old blokes who like to ride fast end up coming undone. Here in Australia there have been several blokes who have had either bad or fatal accidents because they ride too fast.
