Thanks everyone for the information and speedy replies but I have another question how do you set up the eccentrics how tight do the nuts on spindle have to be etc....I don't know much about this setup and Dad has forgotten how to put them back together thanks for your help and time best regards Paul

In the case of a rebuild which is what I think you are doing remember its not the nuts that dictate the tightness of the eccentrics it is the shimming, and counterintuitively the more shims the looser the fit you really should get a Richardsons handbook. A forum is sometimes a lesser source of knowledge with everyday Vincent tasks for instance that picture does not show the shims ( FF67/ whatever) and you really need a bullet tool for assembly.

I'm guessing a Richardsons is a book or how to manual and where would I be able to purchase a bullet tool and how much would I expect to pay and does anyone know where to get a 6 inch speedo recoed in Australia possibly Melbourne
