I have recently replaced my PD22 outer sprocket bush and now if I try tightening my clutch centre nut C20 it locks the C3 up ( still clearance behind the lip) so can I put shims behind the C3 or do I try and get the bush out and shave a little off the face.
Chris.

I realize that Greg, I think I will see if the bush comes out easily first, then try shimming. Taking a few thou off the bush will only takes a few moments in the lathe.

So he put the old one back, Just for now.
Cheers Bill.

This bush (PD22) should be Oilite because if oil seal PD25 does it's job no lubricant reaches it.

I think Mike's would have been too much for Loctite,
I am not a fan of Loctite, It gives you options when your are in a pickle !, But it often comes back
And bites you !.
A few years ago, I was in deepest Devon, And I fitted a bush that was too Thick /Deep If I had fitted it , It would have locked up, I spent hours Turning it down, By Hand !!.
I think Mike is very Brave to record as is, You could see it was all new to Him, But if nobody had had a Twin apart, It was worth Gold !.
I know I could not record what I do, Too much dropping things and Bad words !!..

Yup I understand where you are coming from on that. Fortunately it was a slip fit, so Loctite 638 in this instance was suitable.

I don’t really see that separating you from the herd. That’s what editing is for.
For me video would eat up too much valuable time and energy. Too many interruptions as it is. Like sod busting and shovelling horse dung, just so I can grow some spuds.

Anyway... back to the thread. Not sure how well Loctite would work on oilite, especially in that location.

Yes I must admit that I prefer text to video (You Tube)when I want to know something technical Cyborg is right on Video there is a lot of packing round a nugget of info with text you just scan down till you find it.
