Hello everyone,
Do you know a supplier who manufactures and sells a center stand kit for the Comet.
It is a question of comfort.

A few years ago, I bought a kit from Dave for my Serie C, delighted ! I do not know he's making one for Serie A and I just sent him an email. I'll let you know about his answer. Anyway, V3 Products sells one but Australia is so far.

I was going to fit one on my 35 KSS till I saw the price!
As the Velo is a ridged I bought a cheap as chips ''BSA" clamp prop stand and fitted it next to the pillion footrest with a strap to stop it turning on the tube (like they always do) whole bike is as light as a feather anyway.

My best mod Ed is the fitting of blue LED's,,, (POLICE are folks first thought and they pick it up quicker than high viz clothing.) Filtering with hazards going as well, next to the blue LED's with moving traffic the road opens up miraculously and sail on through.
Dave Hills center stands are good and correctly set I can put bike on the stand whilst astride the bike with her in doors on pillion, thats on daughters Rap, my 'B" Rap has a modified rear where it's put onto fully loaded by her in doors again with me astride the Bike. When I do the center stand for my "B" it's going to have hydraulic legs that will be operated astride and locked off on large pads and will also be compensating if there is a camber on the road ! In my mind for decades for when I get old, not quite there yet but the electric leg is already fitted so we know it's inevitable.

The series "A" stand kit made by Neal Videan is a comprehensive kit and is expensive. It pivots between the engine and gearbox so it is quite a way forward and works like the Dave Hills stand but is a bit harder to use because of its more forward pivot point. It also comes with parts that fit inside one of the springboxes to limit the "sag" of the rear and this then lifts the rear wheel off the ground. To install the kit you need to drill a 3/8" hole through the lower engine/gearbox plates, this can be done in situ but you need some long drill bits. Cheers....................Greg.

Blue lights are not allowed on normal motor vehicles down here in the penal colonies. OK on Police types, but not much else. Our warders (officers of the law) take quite a dim view.

On a German autobahn nearing Puttgarden ferry had a front wheel blow out at night they parked to keep me safe while doing teh tube change, the police woman who spoke good English said that blue lights were illegal on German vehicles but foreigners they allow as so many lorries are well decked out in their cabs.
First time being stopped was in NZ for having blue lights coming out of Kaikoura east coast Douth Island, I told the officer in blue that they have been fitted since 2003 past the NZ Warrant of Fitness. He took a photo of them, my license, W of F stickers & me. Did hear any thing more. But am a marked man.
