Hello,
Does anyone know which genuine ammeter 2" Miller fitted the Comet Serie A (from 1936) ?
Thanks.

Series A's with Miller electrics were fitted with the Miller 832 lighthouse ammeter. Below is an photo of an original. They were also used on some of the first series B machines in 1946 & 1947.

Hello,
Is it possible to adjust the needle when it is not exactly on the zero (at rest).
Thanks.

Either lean the bike over or dismantle the ammeter. For memory this is done from the face side, the needle being located on a tapered brass screw with a lock nut. This is a risky procedure because, from what I recall there will be 80 year old hardened sealant, a thin glass and a bezel retained by three tiny weak brass tangs. Are you sure everything, headlamp stays, etc. is level?Good Luck to you!

Leave it alone. You will cause more problems than you can fix. The spring has weakened over time. As long as it goes + and - when it should then all OK.
