Does anybody know of a modern 6.5" headlight glass and reflector unit that will fit directly into an original Miller headlight rim for a series C ? I have one of the replica lens units from VOC spares but it takes a BPF type bulb and would prefer to use a more modern bulb to get a better light and selection of bulbs. There was several types that would fit around 25 years ago but I cannot find anything 6.5" diameter currently for sale on the internet. It appears 7" is the common size.

I'm in the UK so it need to be for UK use and so dip correctly for driving on the left.

If memory serves, some early VW Golf models had an H4 unit with a pilot bulb that you could use the reflector from, employing clear sealant to attach the standard lens, also some 1980's? Hondas had a 6 1/2" unit that clipped straight in. This is all a hazy memory from before BPF units were available. Maybe find an old Golf in a breaker's yard and play around a bit. Cheers.

You can an H4 adapter to fit the Miller headlight. I have one in each of my bikes. 6v or 12v are available from Goffy.

How easy is it to remove the glass lens from the reflector on the Honda lights, enabling an original miller glass to be used?
I used the VW ones a while back, I seem to recall they were the inner ones of the twin lights of the early GTis, but this was not for a Vincent so sizes may be different. They were well and truly bonded together and difficult to remove cleanly, still with the odd shard left and covered with a thick bead of silicone.
