Aldershot section 50th anniversary.

To help me provide a pint for you when you attend our auspicious event at the Pirbright Sports and Social club on the 12/8. I need to hold a raffle, If you have anything that could be donated for that raffle either bike related or some consumable trinket I would be most obliged.
Many thanks to Paul Goff for providing a voucher , that is just the sort of thing that we need.
This is a ride to event, and it will from 11.30 am until 3.30pm. I want to make a small presentation to our three 50 yr members of whom we are particularly proud, but that is the only formal bit. The social club will provide snacks, and if you want something more substantial to eat; our club HQ, at the "Cricketers" , is only a couple of doors down.
Looking forward to seeing you and loads of Vins, a nice little aperitif for the I.O.M. and Hever
NB,
It would be useful if you definitely intend to come to let me know at least by the 6th please. Just an email will do, either on this in the pm's or look in MPH.

Sheila and I attended the 50th anniversary do today on our Comet outfit, and we would like to thank John and his team for an excellent do. A tasty buffet lunch, complimentary beer for those that like the stuff, lots of bikes, a good raffle, and above all, good company. It was particularly heartening that John presented certificates to three members of the section who have been attending for all of those 50 years. Those that did not come missed a good meeting.
Thanks and congratulations to the Aldershot Section.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! Check out www.thevincent.co.uk for the true flavour of this event, lots of Vins, not much rain, and many happy smiling people. Thank you all for coming to make it such a rich occasion.
Special thanks to Vic Youel for his thoughtful close support, the girls from the social club, the generous sponsorship of the raffle by many individuals and Vincent supply organisations, and Graham Carey with his super camera, but......
Particularly... all the lovely folk who turned up. It has been a privilege to serve this club, I am proud of it and the marvellous people in it. Let us wish Jeff Smith every success for his stewardship from now on...http://www.vincentownersclub.co.uk/images/icons/icon14.gif

Val and I just got back this pm from the Aldershot 50th celebrations and as others have said it was superb. To see so many friends, both old and new made this old greybeard very happy, thanks are due, in no small quantities to John Crispin and Vic Youel, who both worked hard to make it so successful. A special word of thanks also, for the whole of the Aldershot Section for the warmth of their welcome, it's a pleasure indeed to come and say hello to these good folks.:)
