Any details on the installation of 32mm carbs either Del-Autos or Mikunis with particular reference to suitable inlet manifold supplies I have sorted an Egli before but this looks like a difficult job from scratch when its a standard Series C Vincent UFM and petrol tank with two front heads with an alton generator and a clamp, I think clearance will be crucial so any previous experiences and pictures welcome.
getting them in the right place is the difficult bit I will worry about settings later

Just had a pair off the Club Shop, But only 28mm, I blended them a bit !, For my 30mm Mk2 Amals, But can't take too much out near the studs, They are for rubber mounts and 2 front heads, Very pleased, I am not going to need that last bit of throttle !, Any more. Cheers Bill.

When space is really tight you might be forced to do some specials . I used some stainless steel elbows cuttings to fabricate same for the two Horex , the younger type has a 32 mm Bing carb , spigot type instead of flange. It takes quite some fiddling with various lengths of elbow sections and strait pipes plus flange plate but after some blending in of welded seams and bead blasting I really like the looks. I plan to use same Bing type on the B-Rapides but that will take many more months to turn to that.

Yes I have made inlet tracts up with steel exhaust pipes but they were flange fitting carbs, the trouble with say Mikuni is they need a locating groove for the rubber fitting in the inlet pipe casting which is difficult on a smooth fabricated pipe having said that I did on one occasion find a smooth water hose held better than the Mikuni rubber fitting which seemed too soft and squeezed off, however the groove was still on the inlet pipe casting which helped.
I suppose I could add two brazed rings on the smooth inlet pipe if the end portion was straight

I have made several manifolds. I use stainless bends and cut the flanges from stainless plate. For the carb end it is easy to spin up a little ring with the groove. I tig weld them all together although I have used silver solder on stainless with excellent results.
